Will Smith ‘completely understands’ if people choose not to watch his new movie, “Emancipation.”
He also added that he ‘absolutely’ respects anyone who chooses not to see his movie.
Will’s newest film, “Emancipation,” will be released to theaters on December 2.
Will said he didn’t want his involvement to damage the film.
He praised director Antoine Fuqua for his efforts in directing “Emancipation.”
The movie will be released to Apple+ a week after its theatrical release.
“Emancipation” was inspired by a former slave.
Fuqua said telling the story was more important than Will’s Oscars incident.
He said he hopes people forgive Will and move on.
