A dismal 6.3 million people tuned in to watch the 2023 Golden Globes when it aired on NBC and Peacock on Tuesday.
That number indicated a 9% drop from its last televised session which saw 6.9 people watching in 2021.
Across online news and NBC Digital platforms, the ceremony garnered almost 11 million views, a 54% increase from 2021.
The Globes did not air in 2022 due to the backlash that its organizers received for their lack of diversity and inclusion.
Instead; they held a private ceremony at the Beverly Hilton and excluded nominees from attending it.
A reform and overhaul of the panel birthed a one-year broadcast deal with NBC last year.
The organizers put an end to its tradition of letting children of famed stars walk award winners to receive their awards.
The scrapping process came on the heels of the nepo babies conversation which was highlighted in a magazine cover story.
It was known as Miss or (Mr.) Golden Globe before it was dismissed.
