Shaun White attended the Gold Metal Gala on Thursday, October 27.

The gold-winning Olympic snowboarder was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

On Friday, he took to Instagram to share a few photos from the night.

One photo showed him posing alongside his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev.

Another photo showed him holding up his Golden Goat Award.

“What an honor to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Gold Medal gala!!!” he wrote.

He encouraged aspiring athletes to “create your own unique trail.”

He also talked about his new lifestyle brand, Whitespace.

White explained, “I’m hoping [to] mentor the next generation of riders and develop products that shape the future of the sport.”
