Shakira was hopeful to expand her family with Gerard Piqué before their shocking summer breakup.

According to a new report, Shakira had hopes of giving birth to a baby girl with her ex-partner of nearly 12 years.

Marca Magazine claims the songstress and soccer stud went to a fertility clinic a few years ago.

“A couple of years ago it was said that Shakira would have been in a fertility clinic to undergo treatment,” the outlet shared via El Nacional.

The publication shared that Shakira wanted to have a third baby soon after welcoming their second son, Sasha.

Shakira was worried about getting older and the waning chance of conceiving a baby.

The “Waka Waka” singer previously expressed her desire to have a girl.
