Sarah Jessica Parker is having a hard time following the unexpected death of her step-father.

SJP’s co-star Cynthia Nixon revealed to Page Six how her friend is holding up after Paul Giffin Forste’s passing.

“I think it’s really, really tough, you know?” Nixon told the outlet.

“It’s not just tough for her own loss, but certainly for her mom [Barbra Forste].”

On Wednesday, September 28, SJP abruptly left the New York City Ballet’s 10th Anniversary Fall Fashion Gala.

That family emergency was the death of her step-father, Paul Giffin Forste.

Forste was married to SJP’s mother, Barbara, for 54 years.

On September 30, SJP shared a black-and-white photo of her late step-father.

She wrote alongside the photo, “Paul Giffin Forste. 1946-2022. Godspeed. RIP. Strong like a bull. Til the end.”
