Orland Bloom opened up about an accident he had at the age of 19.

The actor at the time fell off a roof terrace and critically injured himself.

He was given a dire prognosis of not being able to walk again.

The actor was later able to leave the hospital on crutches.

He shared that the months after the accident took a toll on his mental health.

"I would say the months after the fall were quite a dark time…. I was in a lot of pain," he said.

Bloom did a lot of self-reflection during his recovery process.

The actor urged his followers to support those who are struggling with mental health problems.
