Walters is Known for the many interviews she had with top personalities during the span of her career.

Her publicist noted that she died peacefully surrounded by her family.

She was the first woman to anchor a newscast in 1964.

She created “The View.”

Oprah Winfrey called the legendary journalist a powerful and graceful role model in her tribute.

Walt Disney Company's boss, Bob Iger also paid tribute to the late icon, adding that she was a true legend and a pioneer in journalism.

Katie Couric wrote that she was privileged to have been a recipient of Walters’ “kindness.”

Many other colleagues, fans, and celebrities have paid tribute to Walters including Billi Jean King and Abby Phillip.
