More details have emerged about Damon Lindelof’s “Star Wars” movie.
Deadline announced the “secret” film over the weekend.
“Ms. Marvel” filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy has been tapped to direct.
Lindelof is co-writing the series alongside “The Strain” executive story editor Justin Britt-Gibson.
Britt-Gibson was initially not a part of the initial discussion that took place after Star Wars Celebration earlier this year.
The secret writer’s room held in July reportedly lasted for two weeks.
At this time, sources say that the film is a standalone, with more possible if it’s a success.
The film will reportedly take place after the events of 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.”
It is possible that characters from the sequel trilogy may make a return, but not confirmed.
