Matthew Perry discussed having an emergency dental surgery days before filming the “Friends” reunion special.
“They did all sorts of things,” the actor said, adding that he felt his mouth was on fire.
The immense pain from the surgery made Perry consider not joining his colleagues to film the special.
“I couldn’t not show up. So, what I chose to do was just go and do the best that I could,” the actor admitted.
Perry shared on the special that he was under pressure to make the viewers laugh at his jokes.
During his years filming "Friends," the actor struggled with alcohol and drug addiction.
At some point, he was popping “55 Vicodin” daily.
He ended up having a “gastrointestinal perforation” in 2018.
The actor barely survived the ordeal, spending five months in the hospital and nine months using a colostomy bag.
