Two-time ROH World Champion Jay Briscoe, real name Jamin Pugh has died in a fatal car accident.

He was age 38 at the time of his death.

The accident was noted to have occurred in Laurel, Delaware.

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) founder Tony Khan announced the wrestler’s demise.

Jay’s wrestling colleagues mourned his death and paid tributes to him via social media posts.

“An incredible performer who created a deep connection with wrestling fans across the globe,” Triple H penned on Twitter.

“I'm deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Jay Briscoe. He was always the kindest to me during my time in ROH,” Brandi Rhodes wrote.

It is unclear if any of Jay’s family members were with him in the car at the time of the accident

Jay is survived by his wife and four kids.
