Joe Trohman, the lead guitarist of the famous band “Fall Out Boy” has announced he’s leaving the band temporarily.
Trohman shared a message with fans and revealed he’s taking the break to focus on his “rapidly deteriorated” mental health.
He’d already begun withdrawing from band events, such as their recent performance at the Alter Ego Festival in Los Angeles.
The guitarist made the announcement the same day the band announced their eighth studio album, which drops on March 24th.
They’ve released the first single from the upcoming album, titled “Love From The Other Side” and an accompanying video.
In his announcement, Trohman noted that his leave is temporary.
He said he’ll “one-hundred percent” return once he’s ready.
Trohman further thanked his bandmates, family, and fans for respecting his difficult decision and being supportive.
