Henry Cavill’s return as Superman was teased at the end of “Black Adam.”

However, it looks like neither character will make an appearance in a future movie.

There are some serious shake-up happening at DC right now.

Earlier this week, Patty Jenkins posted a lengthy statement on the cancelation of “Wonder Woman 3.”

Cavill made a lengthy statement on Instagram on Wednesday night thanking fans for their support.

“My turn to wear the cape has passed, but what Superman stands for never will,” he wrote.

He also wished the “new universe” the “best of luck, and the happiest of fortunes.”

James Gunn later took to Twitter to confirm a new “Superman” movie that he’s writing.

The movie will feature an “early” Superman but is not an origin story.
