Florence Pugh opened up about the challenges she faced in the early days of her acting career.
Some producers wanted her to change her “look” after her first major role in the 2014 film “The Falling.”
They required the actress to lose weight in several parts of her body, which made her dislike acting.
However, her role in “Lady Macbeth” renewed her love for acting as the executives accepted her for who she was.
Pugh also revealed that she could express herself without judgment, setting the standard for her future roles.
Pugh's career skyrocketed after the film with roles in several top films like “Midsommar,” “Little Women,” and “Black Widow.”
She recently played Alice alongside Harry Styles, Gemma Chan, and Chris Pine in the horror/thriller “Don’t Worry Darling.”
She will star as Nurse Lib Wright in the Netflix mystery “The Wonder” based on a 2016 novel with the same title.
Pugh will also star in “Oppenheimer” and as Princess Irulan in the 2023 film “Dune: Chapter Two.”
