Film producer Jerry Bruckheimer has confirmed that Margot Robbie’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” will still be filmed.
He revealed that more work is needed to be done on it in the meantime.
“It’s alive for me. It’s alive for Disney,” Bruckheimer said.
Bruckheimer also confirmed that another version based on a younger cast would debut first.
Robbie previously claimed that showrunners had axed her version.
Four installments of “The Pirates of the Caribbean” have debuted in the cinemas since the first one in 2003
The franchise has grossed over $4 billion worldwide.
Robbie stars in the new film, “Babylon.”
In a recent interview, she claimed that the period drama contains a high amount of “debauchery.”
