Neil Patrick Harris was slammed by fans for an "improper" remark he made about Nick Jonas years ago.

In 2015, the actor revealed on "The Wendy Williams" show that he had a crush on the former Disney star.

"[Jonas was] really good-looking before it was kind of allowed to think he was good-looking," the actor said.

His comments hinted that the crush started when Jonas was still a teenager.

The actor shared that his husband, David Burtka was aware of his sentiments about Jonas.

"David knows it, so I guess it's not a bad thing to say," Harris admitted.

One fan wrote, "So strange as I literally love this man- but everyday another problematic issue is shocking but not shocking."

Another person penned, "There's a way to compliment a younger person's looks without sounding creepy.

Harris is slated to star as a villain in "Doctor Who."
