Fans asked that she disassociate herself from the company.

Balenciaga posted pictures of children with stuffed animals in bondage-inspired outfits.

A document for a US Supreme Court case on federal child pornography was featured in some of the shots for the campaign.

Balenciaga took down all posts related to the campaign.

The brand apologized and promised to penalize everyone involved.

Gabriele Galimberti, the photographer, said he had no control over the shoot.

He said, “I must stress that I was not entitled in whatsoever manner to neither chose the products, nor the models…”
