He once declared that religion was what saved him from alcoholism.

"The Two Popes" actor narrated that a woman asked him to try God during an alcoholic anonymous meeting in 1975.

Hopkins started acting because he had nothing better to do.

He told people who are struggling to talk to someone and find help.
