"American Idol" alum C.J. Harris has passed on at the age of 31.

The singer reportedly died after being rushed to the hospital for undisclosed reasons.

His death was confirmed by a Walker County Coroner's Office representative.

Further information on the cause of death is yet to be revealed, although it has been claimed that no foul play was evident.

"You're the best, Rip in heaven Cj .gone too soon," a fan mourned his demise.

Another fan penned, "I'm in shock. Doesn't even seem real."

Harris rose to fame following his appearance on the "American Idol" season 13.

He ultimately finished the season in sixth position and went on to perform with his Idol peers on a live tour.

In an interview in 2014, he credited his mother and uncle as the inspiration behind his pursuit of music.
