Newton-John has served on Moffat’s National Board of Advisors since 2009. For more than a decade, he advocated for research, early detection and disease prevention on behalf of the cancer center, the center wrote.
The British-Australian entertainer publicly battled cancer. More than once. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 and beat it. After a 2013 car accident, doctors found cancer in his shoulder. Then in 2017, she learned that her breast cancer had returned and spread to her back, resulting in a tumor in her spine.
