WASHINGTON — Lance Reddick, an actor best known for his roles in the “John Wick” franchise and HBO’s “The Wire,” has died, according to multiple media reports.
Reddick’s representatives confirmed the actor’s death. Variety on Friday. TMZ was the first to break the news..
No cause of death has been released, but TMZ reports that its law enforcement sources said the actor’s death appears to be natural. Deadline said Reddick’s rep confirmed. Along with the news, saying that he died of natural causes.
According to multiple media outlets, the actor was in his 60s.
In the “John Wick” franchise, Reddick played Charon, a concierge at the Continental Hotel.
Reddick’s death comes days before the theatrical release of “John Wick: Chapter 4,” in which he stars. He was doing a press tour and was scheduled to make a guest appearance next Thursday with other cast members. “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” It is not known whether this appearance was taped before his death.
