TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Readers will soon have the chance to hear Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ life story in his own words.
De Saints is writing an autobiography titled “The Courage to Be Free: Florida’s Blueprint for America’s Revitalization.” It is currently available for pre-order.
The book, which will be released on February 28, will chronicle the important moments of the governor’s life, from his childhood and military service to his wife’s battle with cancer. Fox News Reports
Publisher Broadside, the conservative branch of HarperCollins, said the book would focus on “important issues that [DeSantis] The focus of debate on the future of our country. He shares his thinking from when he was fighting against the COVID mandates and restrictions, critical generation theory, awakening corporations,” according to the news outlet.
DeSantis provided a statement to Fox News that, according to the outlet, hints at a presidential run.
“What Florida has done is establish a blueprint for governance that has delivered tangible results while rebuking the entrenched elites who have run our nation into the ground. Florida is proof positive of that.” That we, the people, are not powerless in the face of these elites,” the governor reportedly wrote.
It will be the second book by DeSantis, who wrote “Dreams from Our Founding Fathers: First Principles in the Age of Obama” in 2011 before being elected to Congress.
Despite widespread speculation, DeSantis has yet to confirm whether he will throw his hat into the ring for a 2024 White House bid.
Many believe it’s only a matter of time after the governor’s landslide re-election victory before a presidential campaign is announced.
The Florida governor already has an estimated $90 million in fundraising money to pour into his presidential campaign, putting him ahead of any other candidate except Donald Trump.
