Jack Flint’s wife, Brenda, wrote in a heart-wrenching post, “We should be going through the wedding photos but instead I have to pick out clothes to bury my husband in.”
WASHINGTON — Country singer Jack Flint died unexpectedly Sunday, hours after his wedding, according to family and friends.
The Oklahoma singer-songwriter married his wife Brenda on Saturday and died in her sleep, his longtime publicist confirmed. The Oklahoman. He was 37 years old.
“We should be going through the wedding pictures but instead I have to get my husband some clothes to bury,” Flint’s wife, Brenda wrote in a Facebook post. “People aren’t meant to feel this much pain. My heart is gone and I really need it back. I can’t take it anymore. I need it here.”
Brenda Flint also shared a video of herself and Jake. Dancing together while taking wedding photos, hours before his death with the message “I don’t understand.”
The cause of death has not been announced.
The singer’s former manager, Brenda Cline, wrote on Facebook that he was “the funniest, funniest, hardest working, most dedicated artist I’ve ever worked with in my career.”
According to its website, Jake Flint lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was the son of a “wildcat oilman and a hard-working mother of two.” He started making music when his father was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease.
He has released four albums, including 2016’s “I’m Not Okay” and a self-titled album in 2020.
Guests, and a one-man band who performed at Flint’s wedding. On Saturday, a clip of the celebration was also shared on Facebook showing Jack singing for his wife with a guitar.
